I often check out consignment stores, discount and super stores, even hardware stores and of course - online sources... Remember, when it comes to great design - think outside the box!!

I'm not sure how many of you do any sewing but if you decorate, it is a fantastic way to personalize the space with decorative throw pillows, window treatments and even throws.. I have found it very difficult to find many retail "brick & mortar" fabric stores around anymore so I was thrilled to find this website Fabric.com...Sew Something!

She has done a great job with relaxing earth tones but we actually did do a quick furniture redesign in her living room and she loved it. She commented that she had never considered arranging it that way. Her hubby came in before we left and he even commented - awesome, everyone can see the TV now! It definitely makes you feel great when you get positive comments from the man of the home ;-) THANKS Ladies for a great day !!

Grab a basket, clippers and your imagination! Fill your basket with pinecones, sprigs of cedar, acorns or tree limbs. Use colorful fall foliage in frames - instant art... Shadowbox type frames can become focal points in your room with pleasing arrangements of twigs, leaves and pinecones -just hot glue or attach with wire. Styrofoam cones or balls also can easily be covered with moss, leaves, cones and acorns. Create three different sizes for a unique design grouping.

The love for interior design and home decor grew and became more evident as my husband and I designed, built and furnished our first log cabin vacation rental in the Pigeon Forge TN area.
